Huff ‘N Puff Founders: Ed and Ruth Minkiewicz
It all started in 1973 for Ed and Ruth Minkiewicz, the year that they established Huff ‘N Puff and specialized in selling “blown-in” cellulose insulation. Satisfied with the quality of their products and the service they were providing, customers began to ask for more home improvement products and services.
In response, the company began selling replacement windows, doors, gutters, and eventually, gutter protection systems. By 1996, Huff ‘N Puff was fortunate enough to named the exclusive dealer for Gutter Helmet® in the Capital District region.
In 2001, Eric, Ed and Ruth’s son, re-joined the Huff ‘N Puff team, bringing with him sound business principles that were obtained through a career in finance and technology, working with large corporations like EMC, Citigroup, and Lucent Technologies. This allowed Huff ‘N Puff to reach unparalleled heights in the industry, giving customers the personalized service one would get with a homegrown company, but coupled with the strict standards of a Fortune 500 company.
