Since the founding of Gutter Helmet® more than 30 years ago, we have made it our mission to protect homes from the damage that results from clogged gutters. And while we have always remained committed to protecting homes with the best gutter protection system available, we realize there are commitments that reach far beyond home improvement.
The veterans who have served our country – men and women, sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, husbands and wives – gave a portion of their lives to preserve the freedom of each and every American. We deeply appreciate the sacrifice they have made on our behalf so that we all may live in peace, and know that many of these veterans still bear physical and mental scars proving their sacrifice. We continue to look for ways to give back to these brave men and women who have served our country.
In honor of July 4th, Gutter Helmet has pledged to help Disabled American Veterans (DAV), a national organization that works to support those who continue to cope with the effects of military service. DAV was established to ensure every one of the nation’s disabled veterans and their families receive the care they need to lead high-quality lives after their service is complete. Through DAV, both veterans and non-veterans can demonstrate their appreciation and compassion for those who have given so much in the service of this nation.
Earlier this year, we pledged to donate $1 for every new like we received on the Gutter Helmet Facebook page. With the help of many supporters, we are thrilled to announce we have reached the $500 goal to help DAV continue to fulfill promises to the men and women who served. This initiative follows similar fundraisers Gutter Helmet has spearheaded for military-related charities, including the Wounded Warrior Project and Helmets for Heroes.
